So here goes...my first blog post. This is going to be a journal of what inspires me---in fashion, interiors, event design, music and travel. What encapsulates a lifestyle. It is almost one year ago from today when I exited my extensive career in the fashion world to pursue life as a full-time freelance floral and event designer and stylist and to be able to dedicate time on creating this blog. This is a creative outlet for me; therefore, I am not expecting to have a bevy of followers. Although it would be nice!
Firstly, I wanted to share what inspired the design of this blog. I am not one to shy away from colors. I am a bit of a "girly girl" [ok, maybe bonafide "girly girl"] so a blush pink is always a staple in my personal color palette and I love the contrast of it with a peacock blue. I saw the prints of the above Club Monaco top and NO. 21 Pre-Fall 2014 look and I fell in love instantly with this color combination. Topped off with this packaging from the design team behind RiverOaks Charleston I knew I had something going. Then to inject some personal touch to this design, my own wedding colors were blush pink and grey and my sister's dear friend, Melissa, behind the Etsy Shop - Wrap & Revel - customized our grey letterpressed invitations. The swash caps that she used are something I know I wanted to integrate into the header. I hope you find it to be pretty!
