TAKE ME THERE: BEDFORD POST INN

Last year in the Fall, I left my job in fashion and that weekend my husband and I went on a getaway from the city to just relax, celebrate the season and the new chapter in my life. We stayed at the Bedford Post Inn and it was wonderful. It is located just an hour away from Manhattan but you truly feel like you have left the hustle and bustle of the city. It was just what I needed. The room was cozy with the most handsome wood beams and we could see all the amazing fall foliage from our window. When we arrived we had brunch at The Barn, one of their restaurants, which was delicious. We were also dining right next to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds who own a home in Bedford. But I kept my cool! For dinner, we ate at their more formal restaurant which is now called Campagna. I am looking forward to returning so we can enjoy their new menu! The inn's yoga classes are complimentary for inn guests and so is breakfast the next morning which includes yummy baked goods from The Barn. While we were there, we went to a local farm and picked our own pumpkins, ate apple cider donuts and visited Blue Hill at Stone Barns. During our next stay I definitely want to go horseback riding. It was the perfect Fall getaway for us but I am sure it is just as amazing in other seasons!
