Last year my friend and I went to Whistler for skiing. We got a great deal to stay at the Nita Lake Lodge through Jetsetter [which I have used several times to book hotels, including Bedford Post Inn from last week's post]. It was such a special trip. We even got "stuck" there for an extra day as our flight back to New York was cancelled due to inclement weather in the North East! I follow Nita Lake Lodge and Whistler Blackcomb on Instagram and they are getting some amazing fresh powder. So it would be wonderful to be back there now and have a White Christmas! If you do go to Whistler, I highly recommend this property. They have a very convenient shuttle service that will take you to restaurants in Whistler Village. Therefore, we did not need a car during our stay. Every morning we would enjoy breakfast before hitting the slopes at the hotel's Fix Cafe. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love baked goods and coffee! Everything at Fix is delicious and they make a terrific latte. Did I mention that there are fireplaces in the rooms? Dine at the village's Bearfoot Bistro which has the infamous Belvedere Vodka Room. You wear the warmest of coats in a frigid ice room and get a flight of different vodkas to taste. Also, definitely go snowmobiling while you are in Whistler and take advantage of their spectacular snowtubing park! My friend and I caught some serious air!
