INSPO: BLUESTONE LANE COLLECTIVE CAFE

I meet my friend, Sadia, pretty much on a weekly basis at a coffee shop to catch up but also have what we call a 'working session'---where I work on my blog and she works on her business. She owns a  showroom called, The Fashion Edit, that is dedicated to Indian fashion designers, Payal Singhal and Namrata Joshipura. You can check her out on Instagram with the handle: @THEFASHIONEDIT.NYC. I look forward to what really is more of a 'working and chatting session' every week and we try and go to new places that we have been wanting to visit. Before the Christmas holiday, we went to Bluestone Lane's Collective Cafe located in the West Village. This Australian spot was designed by Julia Sullivan, the Creative Director of Caswell Design Group. Any spot that has a lot of natural light pouring in is a good spot. Being on the corner of Greenwich Avenue and Perry Street allows the Collective Cafe to have windows on both sides of the front dining area. French-style bistro galvanized steel stools and chairs in distressed powder-coated white and mint green occupy the space. I especially love the mint green---it's so fresh. If you covet the mint green Tolix chairs as much as I do I found this IMAX Sienna Metal Chair on Wayfair. These Tabouret Stacking Chairs, which come in a set of four on Overstock, are delightful as well.  I also like the throw pillows that Bluestone Lane has in its back area and courtyard---a mix of blue patterns. Chambray, batik and stripes. To top it all off, there are small plants sprinkled throughout the space. The design is very rustic but it still feels airy and bright. Set up your next 'working session' there!
