INSPO: CAFFE STORICO

Last week my husband took me to a lovely birthday dinner at Caffe Storico, located in the Upper West Side's New York Historical Society. It was beautiful. High ceilings, large chandeliers, molding, bright yellow banquettes, wainscoting and yummy food. Most importantly, it featured tons of open shelving with a plethora of neatly displayed dishware. The clever combination of the bright white and yellow made it such a happy place even though we were there for dinner. But of course, it was my birthday celebration. I am sure it is even more cheerful during the daytime with all the sunlight coming in through the restaurant's large windows. All the makings for a blissful brunch. If you do go for dinner, I recommend their Burrata and Autumn Squash Insalate, Ricotta Cavatelli, Whole Roasted Hen of the Woods Mushrooms, Crispy Polenta Pyramid and Short Rib Ossobuco. I am salivating as I am typing this. Please don't mind me.
