My husband and I are heading up to the Berkshires with some friends this weekend to go on a white water rafting trip. We are so excited and always look forward to a weekend away from the city. On our way up to Massachusetts, we will be stopping for a midday picnic. My sister bought us a picnic basket as an engagement present so that will be packed to the brim with a wonderful spread of goodies. It will be nice to enjoy the weather, sip some wine and eat to our heart's content. If you want to join in on the picnic fun, I have selected a few of my favorite picnic finds. I absolutely love our picnic basket and it has definitely been used a lot over the years of our marriage. This Target one has most of the supplies that you need from dishware, cutlery, glassware and more. It'll sit pretty on a Nipomo blanket. I just snagged one from a delightful home store in Nashville. It is a well made Mexican blanket that can be easily rolled and carried in a leather holster. It easily fits four people which I love. Picnics always call for a lot of wine so I adore this vintage cooler from Williams-Sonoma. Fill it with ice or ice packs to keep your wine or any perishable food items cold. Lastly, besides wine, cheese is also one of the most important ingredients for a perfect picnic. We usually have several types of cheese on our picnics and create an abbreviated charcuterie. We own the above Crate & Barrel cheese slate to display our cheeses and any nuts, fruits or spreads that we want to accompany them. I hope you have a lovely time on your picnic!
