With the sun setting by 4pm now, you would think I would only want to be around brightness and light colors these days. Guess again. I am an admirer of the trend of having black accents in homes. Black walls, cabinetry, fixtures, shelving---it all has a cozy, comforting feel to it. White is the obvious choice for a contrast color to having black accents but what about the dusty mauve color that it is featured in the top left photo? Stunning. Now, back to the sun. Aren't the days supposed to be getting longer after the Winter Solstice? What happened to that?
