COVETING: CELESTINE

I came across the above gorgeous Chantilly lace veil by Emily Rose Riggs on Instagram and my jaw dropped. Not only is the design just stunning, but it is in an "icy grey-blue" color that is referred to as, Celestine. Named after the mineral of the same color. I adore this color but never knew what the formal name for it was. Celestine sounds so much better than "icy grey-blue"! Several of our Christmas ornaments are of this color, including the velvet ribbon that wraps our tree. It is such a dreamy hue for winter. In fact, I have seen this color popping up a bit lately. Like in two West Elm products---a mirrored tray and an ombre velvet pillow that they refer to as "Blue Stone." Blue Stone a.k.a Celestine!
