I know the term, "bring the outdoors in" is totally overused, but I like the above innovative ways to "reclaim" wood and use it in your home. Even Athena Calderone of Eyeswoon having a pile of firewood on display in her home brings that wonderful winter touch into a space. Perfect for right now as we just experienced our first snow this winter in NYC.
