As you have seen from my blog and Instagram, I am a fan of all things Moroccan. So I was especially drawn to Tory Burch's Fall 2015 Collection which exuded the spirit of Northern Africa. She was heavily influenced by the textiles, particularly the rugs, that you find in Morocco. I enjoyed how she paired different patterns together---variances of Kilim designs combined with each other or with sequins or other embellishments. The mixture of Kilim and other Moroccan patterns that she used on the runway, drew me to the layered Moroccan rug look that I love so much. Why have just one Moroccan rug when you can have multiple? I adore the layered Moroccan rug look in homes but it would be even more magical to have a gathering of friends with a myriad of rugs laid on top of each other with guests sitting on Kilim floor pillows. I think the more patterns the better as Tory Burch showed that there is a beautiful harmony when combining such gorgeous and rich designs.
