My friend and one of my flower mentors, Liza Lubell of Peartree Flowers, introduced me to a spectacular place called, Maison Premiere. Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn we visited it several months ago one night for cocktails and light fare. Known for its delicious libations and oysters, it was a warm and cozy respite from the cold of Williamsburg. I know they say that oysters are an aphrodisiac but the atmosphere of this place alone oozed sexiness. It possessed warm candlelight throughout, well-dressed mixologists and a mood that was from another time. An epoch that I would like be transported to on the regular which is why I have been there a few times after I visited with Liza. The interiors of this Oyster Bar contributes to its sex appeal. Wall sconces with low, soft lighting. Beautiful wide-plank hardwood floors. Patina-painted walls coupled with one of my favorite mediums---tin. A fireplace. Vintage props. It's all good. Trust me. Another amazing design detail of this place is its branding. Their plates and coasters are marked with a stunning gold garland-esque crest with the letter, 'M'. I am not a huge fan of monogramming but this detail is subtle and truly beautiful. Even better, there are touches of mint green in the branding as well. This perfect combination of gold and mint green extends to their lovely website which you can find by clicking here. They really thought of everything.
