Viktor & Rolf are always known to think outside of the box. Especially when it comes to their couture collections. And their Fall 2015 collection was no exception. Models strutted down the runway in three-dimensional works of art---literally. Gold, gilded frames and canvases showcased notable pieces of art making them come to life. Very structural and definitely not the most sensible and wearable fashion, but hey, it's couture. Two pieces that stood out to me the most were models dressed in bold Dutch Master paintings with lush and colorful florals. I recently discovered Jake Messing, a modern day Dutch Master Painter. He has a selection of paintings on the Home level of Bergdorf Goodman available for purchase. They are so exquisite and rich. Wonderfully characteristic of Viktor & Rolf's couture pieces but more functional.
