INSPO: CAFE CLOVER

Making a statement on the corner of Downing Street in the West Village is Cafe Clover. This spacious restaurant is a dream. It is fully lined with banquettes in the dreamiest blue. Also surrounding the restaurant is stark white molding making the banquettes pop even more. I envision this scene in a kitchen. I see this interesting blue hue on kitchen cabinets accented with brass hardware and paired with white and grey marble slab countertops [which sits on Cafe Clover's bar] and lots of white crown molding surrounding the space. Can't you see it? If you can't quite grasp the vision I am creating, be sure to visit Cafe Clover---home of the most delectable blue and beet veggie burger!

ASHLEY WOODSON BAILEY WALLPAPER

I have been following Ashley Woodson Bailey on Instagram for quite some time now. She is a brilliant floral designer and self-taught photographer. Her specialty is floral photography of course. Ashley beautifully captures florals in a moody, romantic sense like no other.  Her prints are wildly popular and just a few weeks ago she added wallpaper to her online store! They are amazing. For her first foray into wallpaper, there are six dramatic prints to choose from. My personal favorite is the one featuring large-scale blue delphinium set against an inky backdrop. Shop Ashley's wallpaper portfolio here.

COLOR INSPO: RUST

My friend Sierra, of floral and event design company, Poppies & Posies, and I were recently talking about her recent obsession with the color, rust. Perfect for Fall, this rich hue is crisp and beautiful so I completely understand her stance. I especially love it paired with a deep eggplant color and even a soft lilac like in the rug displayed in the bottom left image. And how amazing are the colored rust goblets and linens in the dinner party featured above? It pairs perfectly with floral arrangements with creamy cafe au lait dahlias, newly changed fall foliage that's been foraged and touches of dark chocolate cosmos. Get rust on your radar this season.

FASHION | FUNCTION: GUCCI RESORT 2016

I want every single piece from Gucci's Resort 2016 Collection. Literally, every piece. The guys and girls that walked down the runway looked like they were straight from 'The Royal Tenenbaums' set.  Several fashion collections for Fall 2015, like Bally, are inspired by Margot Tenenbaum and by looking at Gucci's Resort 2016 collection, the Wes Anderson craze isn't slowing down. Each look is so fresh and quirky with a blend of satins, velvets, chiffon and lace in colors like bubble gum pink, navy and mustard. The interesting pairings of prints and colors made it the stand out collection for me for Resort 2016. The overt eccentricities of Alessandro Michele's collection pair well with the distinctive rooms above that look like they could be from a Wes Anderson movie. They have gallery walls with a unique assortment of art work mounted on unusual paint color mixed with clashing floor coverings and an occasional prop thrown in. So dreamy. Make your home the next Grand Budapest Hotel and then swaddle yourself in Gucci Resort 2016.

MY LOVE OF INDIAN TEXTILES

As mentioned in Saturday's post, my friends and I went white water rafting in the Berkshires this past weekend. The owners of the Airbnb we stayed in are owners of a home goods and antiques store in Amherst, Massachusetts called, Home and Homme. Therefore, the suite we stayed in had a plethora of unique housewares throughout including beautiful textiles from India. Being there made me fall in love all over again with the remarkable linens and blankets that my home country produces. The place was fitted with a variety of kantha throws---the Indian version of a quilt which is perfect for balmy summer nights as they are made of lightweight, non-bulky cotton. Other Indian textiles that I adore are ones with block printing---like the tablecloth showcased above. Block printing is an ancient printing technique and it is very unique to India. My parents have several textiles like placemats and runners with block printing and my dear friend, Avantika of TheBrocadeSutra.com, got me a set of block print napkins on one of her recent trips back home to India. They are a great accessory to our dinner parties. The bed cover featured in the top left bedroom is also amazing. We had those in my grandparents' homes. Must have my mom pick one up for me on her next trip back home!

COVETING: SUITE ONE STUDIO

I stumbled upon Suite One Studio's Instagram [@SUITEONESTUDIO] a while ago. I instantly fell in love with Lindsay Emery's special ceramic dishes and platters. Her use of color with watercolor touches and gold tipping makes her overall dishware stunning and each piece very unique. They are so pretty which is why are this week's coveted item. They would be the most wonderful addition to any home or event.
